Someone in my family used to think state employees made the big bucks. I think he got the


idea from occasional news articles about the Director of Such-and-such Agency making in the
6-figure range.

Later on, he got downsized and has been working at a state agency for a while.

He doesn't seem to think state employees make the big bucks any more.....

100 mile a day commute p/t for $8.62 an hr.

Criminals!

But ... I had something called "benefits" so I shut up and did this run for almost 2 years.

Wasn't easy living on $700.00 a month!

where it was nearly impossible to get fired, no matter how lazy a worker you were. If that was ever true, it certainly isn't accurate these days.

highest salary was 45,762.00 and that's with a BA from a good college
