Georgia Republican congressman complains: ‘I’m stuck here making $172,000 a year’

A Georgia Republican congressman was caught complaining about what he described as a low salary in a closed-door meeting with fellow party members concerning the Affordable Care Act, the National Review reported.

During a discussion concerning a possible exemption for lawmakers and staff members from taking part in the state health exchanges mandated by the new law, Rep. Phil Gingrey (R-GA) reportedly lamented that aides can become lobbyists “and make 500,000 a year. Meanwhile I’m stuck here making $172,000 a year.”

The guy is a millionaire, makes $172,000.00 a year for doing NOTHING but sit in his ass and fight "AGAINST" anything that could actually "help" make the economy better.

If the jerk wants to complain about his $172.000.00, then I say the people of Georgia should help him and vote him out of office!

His salary is $174,000, not $172,000.

Either way, it's about $170,000 more than they're worth.

What a fucking knob-head.

I love it when those in power complain that they just aren't being paid enough while America falls apart around us.

Our infrastructure is crumbling and falling apart, the 99% suffer while the 1% get a reacharound from pikers like this.
