Grand theft Auto V. My thoughts.

1. Wow. Rockstar made another visually great game. Nice work. The wildlife in the country sections of the map is a great touch.
2. If you are considering purchasing this game and you have young children, please treat this game like you would episodes of Game of Thrones or the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo movies and do your damnedest to keep it away from them. GTA V is strictly a game for adults.
3. With that said, I find it interesting that this is the second M rated game I've played in as many years to feature uncensored topless female nudity. I'm wondering if the ESRB is looking to bring the M rating more in line with the MPAA's R rating for movies. I'm also wondering if this could touch off a media firestorm like "Hot Coffee" did for San Andreas.
4. This whole multiple protagonist mechanic is a nice twist.
5. One strike against this game: The people in charge of directing the voice acting allowed Shawn Fonteno, who voices Franklin to sound WAY too much like CJ from San Andreas. It's something of a distraction.
6. The music. My gods, the music. From contemporary hop-hop, to Dr. Dre, to Johnny Cash, to 80's funk, to Smokey Robinson, to early 70s Elton John.
7. Pam Grier as a disc jockey. Need I say more?
8. I like the minigames this time around. Tennis is fun, now that I finally figured it out. Seems like this would be fun in a multiplayer setting. I have yet to try out golf, darts and yoga.
9. GTA V has all the crude, yet biting socail satire we've come to expect from a GTA game. The Republican Space Rangers are back, and one of their episodes gives the Tea Party a well deserved skewering.
10 I like the customizable weapons. It's better than trying to run all over the map trying to find the hidden weapon to make a certain mission that much more easy.

Good info, thanks. Can't wait to get it. I hope it's a little more "fun" to play than GTAIV was kysrsoze Sep 2013 #1

There was no end to the amusement in driving, random violence, getting 6 stars, etc., in San Andreas, GTAIII and Vice City. It seemed to lose some of the charm of random mayhem in GTAIV.
