the perceived traitor status that is bestowed on us because we don't agree with everything that President Obama does?

Your constant boxing of us as Democrats in separate compartments by what you believe and others like you is cynical and really drives more away than bring in.

You and the others that feel the way you do, you really are now walking the line on what this party can become. There is a shift, yet you refuse to accept or acknowledge it. This is not helping.

6. Er, not to nitpick, but I believe that "Hair on Fire" is the correct idiom in this case.

"Pants on Fire" generally refers to someone who is lying.

None of us who were aghast at the possibility of Summers being nominated to chair the Fed were lying about being aghast. Nor was it untrue that he was, in fact, under consideration.

here on DU. Here's an article about opposition to Summers from July, for example.
http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/07/26/usa-fed-summers-idUSL1N0FV0T820130726

This was pretty much over by the time DU got wind of it. Folks were calling objection to Summers 'abject hatred' when several Democratic Senators had already decided to announce they would not support him.
