Weather: “More Rain For Northern Colorado"

I’m glad that the Federal Govt. of the United States stands ready to assist and help rebuild...

People who talk about Secession in this area might want to take another look at their political strategy...

2. Get ready to get jumped on by other Coloradans for your remarks.

However, as a Coloradan I agree with you. Hopefully the republican residents of the northern secessionist counties will see the benefits of being part of a larger government.

Wishing the best for all Coloradans affected by this horrible flood - Democrat, Republican or Independent.

3. NO! It is those who are blaming ALL Of COLORADO--all Coloradoans and wishing them ILL

who are rightfully getting this derision. Like this http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1014&pid=595182

Sitting here in the middle of the affected areas, I have nothing but contempt for those who show no compassion whatsoever for those devastated--which is largely blue and purple counties, mostly affected, btw.

It is UGLY and your excusing such comments is even worse, as a fellow Coloradoan. Maybe you should help in assistance efforts or at least help educate the ignorant, rather than offering excuse for such ugliness.

And, yes, though I have great contempt for some in Weld CO proposing such nonsense, I have nonetheless spent much of the past day and a half helping deal with their injured, evacuated horses and pets as part of my efforts, given my great appreciation for being safe from the worst flooding. So, yes, I DO put my efforts where my words lie.

You have no idea who are what I am.. People like you who jump to conclusion just because it fits your world should be sure what and who they are dealing with.. Again, you know little about me...You don’t know where I am or what I’m doing!

6. this is not the time to pull politics into this

i'm up on the north side of things and my city has not been overly affected by the flooding, but my region as a whole is devastated by this and the destruction has moved eastward. rivers are swollen, damns have broken, reservoirs have spilled over, roads are washed out and thousands of people are stranded. they've been evacuating people by helicopter, five people are dead and hundreds haven't been heard from.

i'm sitting in my garden level apartment, grateful to be on higher ground and far enough from the river that i don't have anything to worry about. but i'm one of the lucky ones.

We live at the top of a hill so very little problems. Big pools in our garage, & some seepage in the basement, but that's it. So much damage! I watched an aerial video of the Ft. Collins/Loveland area this morning & couldn't believe the flooding. This is months worth of rain in one week.
