Appreciating the little things and thinking about refugees

Finally, on Day Three we have a functioning toilet again. Never mind the sad story about the hassle to find all the correct parts. A couple of days using a decommissioned pressure cooker makes you appreciate the amenities of modern industrial civiliization.

Needless to say, refugees in Syria have a lot less than that, so I decided we needed to donate more. Oxfam and Doctors without Borders are good choices.

being able to speak and move freely. We have the freedom to choose who will lead us and be critical of that leadership. Not very many people in this world have what we should be grateful for. Your post should lead people to thinking about those important ingredients in our lives.
