Vietnam Vet shoots neighbors dog near the kids

Not sure if this was posted before but this is just crazy and it appears that he is only being charged with misdemeanors

A family in Ohio is demanding justice after a neighbor shot their 8-month-old puppy to death in front of two children.

I don't post much so hopefully I got the link to the story in there correctly. This story is just insane.

Is it germane to the story somehow?

I assume that is why the article is titled that way. Maybe he was a nasty SOB before but who knows.

Not that you would. Thankfully.

Idiots and fire are a bad mix. Just a statement, not meant as a reflection on the poster I responded to.

DU's token vegan and animal rights idiot chimes in here. He is charged with shooting a dog. A dog. Shit, he should probably be keelhauled, right? I mean, you all actually CARE about that species, right? Not his, but that one. Gnawing on a chicken bone at the same time, anyone?

Maybe we start taking care of our veterans so this doesn't happen again, because lets be honest...most of you, most of us don't know what the fuck this guy has been through. What he lives with. What should he be charged with?

We fucked him up. Congrats, America! It's not right that we call for his demise based on us fucking him up.

It's called empathy. Google it. This human is also an animal, and deserves the same consideration as the dog. Nothing good happened here.

That your token vegan had to do this, should make you reconsider how you view things.

I certainly have empathy for the man for suffering so many years without help. And absolutely no one should have to see or do whatever the heck he did over there so many years ago. It had to be pretty bad to screw him up for life.

However blowing a hole in a small dog/puppy when an 8 year old boy is trying to retrieve his dog is completely fucked up.
It's bad enough he made the animal suffer. But with the two kids right there is just plain insane. What if it ricocheted?
Not to mention this took place less than 500ft from an elementary school and playground.

Imagine that child, told to "get the hell away" and then see a crazy man shoot his pup. Talk about PTSD, I doubt that kid will ever get over that.

I don't think we call for his demise, but he clearly needs some sort of help. And obviously he hasn't gotten it on his own so the court needs to force him to do so and misdemeanor charges aren't going to do that.

I know what this guy went through and it gives him no fucking right to shoot a kid's dog.

Hate to break it to you, tough guy, skull avatar (LOL), if you don't respect other species as you do your own, you are the one who's fucked in the head.

It's awful to lose a loved family member. To have a family member deliberately killed is worse. And in front of you?

And the neighbor used to invite the puppy into his driveway. Clearly more than a few screws loose.

My neighbors have tried to kill my dogs twice, once in my own driveway. Yes, my dogs did follow one neighbor's dogs home one time. Their dogs had come to my property dozens of times, not the mention the visit once from their bull and 2 cows.

They retaliated to my dogs touching their property by trying to run them down in my own driveway, fright front of me.

I hate people sometimes.
