http://globalgrind.com/2013/09/11/video-george-zimmerman-smashing-wife-shellie-ipad-videoVideo of Zimmerman breaking the iPad that might have video evidence that he punched his father-in-law in the face has surfaced. You can clearly see a plaid-clad Zimmerman breaking and then tossing the tablet into the yard.
<snip>
In the meantime, information about Zimmermans gun and whether he really had it at the scene of the dispute or not is coming to light.
Mark OMara, who ditched his most infamous client, told CNN the real about Zimmermans gun, which Shellie told dispatchers he threatened her with, but police reported they didnt see.
On Anderson Cooper, OMara confirmed that Zimmerman DID in fact have his gun and on his person, not in the car.

The George we saw in court, all polished up and extremely sedated, is not the George those closest to him know.
I'd bet on it.

(135,060 posts)LAKE MARY, FLA. A police spokesman says that law enforcement analysts are having difficulty extracting video from an iPad used by the wife of George Zimmerman, which remains key in determining whether either will face charges after a domestic dispute.
Lake Mary police spokesman Zach Hudson said at a news conference Wednesday that an iPad used by Shellie Zimmerman to record an argument with her estranged husband is in "bad shape." He says it could be several weeks or months before its video is analyzed because investigators don't currently have the necessary tools to extract it.

(32,342 posts)I guess there is no reason for FBI to become involved in this, but I wonder if a more high-powered agency would have tools to obtain the video from the damaged device more quickly?

(12,296 posts)... an on-duty cop plowed into a group of motorcyclists, killing 2 and permanently disabling another.
Ever so curiously, his co-workers took him to an un-approved lab for the blood draw after he blew a .2, and then when taken into evidence, the vials were left on a shelf, unrefrigerated, for almost a year. Now they're essentially inadmissable.
Same thing in the Zimmy case - I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the police 'experts' who are trying to 'retrieve' that data 'accidentally' destroy it completely. Someone(s) are seriously covering up for that POS on a regular basis. I'd like to know who & why. The corruption seems to run very deep in that area.

get rid of the evidence against him, whether it be destroying an iPad or killing a teen. But his luck won't last.
It's at least some consolation watching his life unravel.
Come on Florida cops, if you can't extract the evidence from the iPad get it to someone who can.
DUH!

(46,736 posts)Leaving it in the hands of the local PD that has already confessed it doesn't have the tools to get to the information just sounds stupid.

(32,342 posts)Shellie's 911 transcript mentions the presence of a bodyguard. (The video at this link auto-plays, be warned):

PD: There are multiple units in the area. This is Shellie right? What phone number are you calling on now?... What is Zimmerman doing right now?
SZ: He is in his truck.
PD: Does he see them?
SZ: I'm sorry.
PD: Does he see them?
SZ: They are telling his bodyguard to get out of the way. Oh my God. Dad, get behind the car or something. I don't know if he is going to start shooting at us or not.

(20,582 posts)I saw someone from LE giving a statement on camera and he sounded like he was auditioning for something .... super happy to be on camera, but pretty short on any information. Imo, nearly everything he said was supportive of George and cast doubt on Shellie's 'story'. Edit to add .... I don't believe Shellie is lying, that's just how the cop came across, to me.

(32,342 posts)I've already seen comments from people that think she's doing this for money, trying to make him look bad for the divorce, etc. I'd say there are easier ways to get money than try to deal with this crazy a-hole, who has already killed someone for looking "suspicious".
Everything about George Zimmerman and his allies makes me sick. The levels of complicity to make this killer a community hero don't say much for the health of American society.

(20,582 posts)this creep for a long time has probably left her conflicted and messed up. On the one hand, she's seen what he's capable of .. on the other, she may still have feelings for him and want to protect him. I hope she has lots of support, because it looks like he has no idea how to fight fair.

(23,720 posts)I have an ex brother in-law just like him. When my sister and her 3 girls left him, my husband and I gave her shelter, he figured he could make her come home if she didn't have a place to stay, so he called Protective services and reported that my husband sexually assulted one of her girls. And if that wasn't enough, he bumped his head while working on a car (he's a back yard mechanic) he called the police and had my sister charged with attempted murder. Claimed she hit him on the head with a hammer. Both the charges against my husband and my sister were eventually dropped.

(12,618 posts)But not this one, no sir. Not when George Zimmerman, Neighborhood Watch Badass is on the job. That's one ipad that won't be getting away with it.
Oh and edited to add: isn't an ipad like, hundreds of dollars? Doesn't that make it felony destruction of property?

(32,342 posts)I was thinking that too. Those are expensive, aside from all the other crap he pulled in this scene.
