Nerve gas vs Shrapnel and Fire. Beheading vs Lethal injection.

Interesting that two of the hot GD stories involve abhorrence of failures to adhere to civilized rules of savagery.

Not a huge thing. Just an observation. And even if the argument of US methods versus Arab methods is a dog shit versus cat shit kind of argument, cat shit really is preferable. Smaller counts when talking about bad things. The word "civilized" in the preceding paragraph is not entirely sarcastic.

That said, however, a being with no sense of human custom might well observe broad moral categories of war-making and capital punishment, rather than drawing lines at methods within the categories.
