I am stuck seeing this since I have to sleep in the living room. It is on Faux.

(111,305 posts)and I just checked and HBO has been turned on for one reason or another.
If it's on for everybody, they're showing "Argo" on one of the HBO channels. It's about half an hour in. Not bad except the actors are mumbling and talking over each other.

(23,671 posts)I think it ends in 1.5 hours though.
They never alert anybody when they're going to turn it on for a promotion.

(23,671 posts)Comcast used to send messages to the cable menu ahead of time, but its been months since they've sent any.
I think HBO (and Showtime) should let these providers know that free previews dont work as advertizing if the viewers dont know its available.

(111,305 posts)because someone said "Argo" was on this afternoon. I wasn't impressed, to tell the truth, having your characters mumble and talk over each other might be realistic to the director but does nothing to enlighten the audience.
"Anna Karenina" was visually stunning but as usual, I was rooting for the train.
ETA: I kept switching to "North by Northwest" on TCM and decided it was the best of the bunch.
