John Kerry, US secretary of state, stepped up frantic administration efforts to win congressional backing for military action against Syria on Sunday, even as Syrias President Bashar al-Assad used a CBS interview to deny his government had ordered the use of chemical weapons.
Mr Kerry said most members of the Senate and House of Representatives had yet to make up their minds on the issue.

yeah, there's no entrenched opposition in the House. That's why Donna Brazile and others agreed this morning on "This Week" that the House was a lost cause for the White House. They hate the President and they're just making that up.
