Anne Romney: The media loves Barack Obama

Ann Romney is frustrated by the media’s depiction of her husband — and on Sunday, she hinted that some reporters should stop getting access to the campaign bus. From my piece on Mitt Romney’s Michigan campaign today:

At that luncheon, Ann Romney also complains about the media treatment of her husband. “All of us in this room know the media loves Barack Obama. They don’t want anyone who has a chance of defeating him,” she says.

Speaking openly about how it was “getting harder and harder to be cheerful,” she laughingly says, “I am so mad at the press [that] I could just strangle them! And, you know, I think I’ve decided there are going to be some people invited on the bus and some people just aren’t going to be invited on the bus.”

His smile is worth a million…probably more than all Romney's millions. His wife and kids are great, I absolutely looovve his dog! Knowing Kennedy gave it to him makes I am sure him and everyone else happy.

He and his family are in great physical shape, they eat healthy, they promote it.

They have great family values, I heard his kids hardly ever watch tv or hang on computer. And they do chores even though they have help.

They love these guys because the are all so clownishly gaffe-prone, that it helps to put eyeballs in front of the advertisements. That is, after all, what the media is all about... selling ads. The more these guys make idiots of themselves, the more we just can't look away, and the higher the ads rates are. So she and her husband have a choice - be real people and earn respect (which they could have possibly maybe done if they hadn't jumped on the clown-wagon) or continue the gaffe-a-thon, and be treated like the rest of the jokers.

And as for her statement that "They don’t want anyone who has a chance of defeating him..."
No Mrs. Romney, they want a horse race! That's what sells ads, and that's the only thing they REALLY care about...
