Early voting began at 8 a.m. Thursday at four El Paso County locations, including Centennial Hall in downtown Colorado Springs, where computer problems initially resulted in long lines inside and outside the building.

Williams said additional computers and staff were brought in and the line is now moving at a much faster clip.

A woman handing out candy and water at the Centennial Hall location, declined to give her name or where she stood on the recall. She said her goal was to keep people in line.

As of about 10:30 a.m., 1,138 voters at the four locations had participated in the recall, Williams said. Some showed up before 7 a.m.
