Health group's chief urges UAW members to aid re-election bid
"President Obama stood with us and we are going to stand with him," Richards said Sunday night. The women's health group has been heavily attacked by Republicans in Congress and GOP presidential candidates. "We didn't pick these fights, but by God, we're going to win."

"The two organizations that have become the punching bags in the Republican primary are the United Auto Workers and Planned Parenthood," Richards said. "… we're proud to stand with you. We've got your back and we know you have ours."

"The right wing is bringing progressives together like never before," she said. "These folks are against women, they are against working people, they are against the middle class."
UAW President Bob King said "… the Republican Party has gone so extreme and so far to the right that I think people are going to come together and say we want fair wages, we want health care, we want our cities rebuilt," King said. "Republicans are blocking all that."
