4. The real WMD are humans. Not the tools they use because they have always had tools

But how their society exists and acts, how they shape each other and care for each other.

It is, however, easier to blame the tools and seek to change an inanimate object than to confront the issues with humans directly - I think because we feel we have power in that ares whereas taking on the bigger issues we see as something we cannot win.

Those in power will only listen to our smallest and easiest to grant requests, we don't need to do real work on our own to face the problems (we can just legislate the problem away, and hey - look - we employ someone to do that for us as well).
