Take a look at the 7:00 pm Republican House Numbers....

This is such a fucking mess. I know all the reasons why and why not...I don’t want a strike however
I see major problems developing no matter what way we go..

This might sound strange, but I hope all The Obama haters in the House don’t support the strike.
causing the House to veto the plan.. As it stands right now this might happen. Could you ever in your wildest imaginations possibly think that republicans would be against a freaking attack..Anywhere!!

Never in my wildest dreams could I imagine cheering on House Republicans to do the right thing, even if their reasons are flawed.

We are in strange days.

edit: At last count, the expected votes are 46 pro-war (mostly Dems), and 169 anti-war (mostly Rs). I don't care the reasons, I just hope they stop this fiasco.

starved American children voting farm subsidies for it's wealthy members while working to eliminate food assistance to the poor, worked endlessly to deny health care to poor Americans, have been hostile to women's rights and health care needs, have been hostile to rights for gay people, have spent hundreds of millions of dollars of taxpayer money in their attempts to deny the previously listed right, are interested in saving us from ourselves? The Republicans may well save us from ourselves! Really?

11. Another World War might be about to explode. Think of those consequences!

Let's see, in the last one one of every 40 humans on the earth was killed, over 60 million people. This is what people are trying to prevent today. I'll applaud anyone who does the right thing and tries to stop this insanity from getting worse. My mother lived through the war in Europe and taught me well about the consequences. Preventing a repeat is all-important. That's why we have a United Nations instead of allowing Crazy Cowboys to rule the world.

3. The Rs are only against the measure because Obama is pushing it.

If a Republican was pushing this measure, every single House Republican would be tripping over themselves to support it and to show their patriotism and fealty to the country's war machine.

4. I do hope the House stops the intervention. But am fairly certain there will be worse atrocities

But it is too soon to act.

If Obama were to order "surgical strikes" they should have happened immediately. But for obvious reasons (UN Inspectors) he didn't.

It was either intervene immediately or wait until next slaughter.

I hope they all vote no.

Only the hardcore progressives in the Democratic party will vote no, and there will be *just* enough Republican yes votes to pass it. It's funny how that works.

bill and debt ceiling increase with no strings attached. As long as Syria is an attack he won't mind shutting down the government if necessary.
