Who has forgotten the Kuwati babies being thrown out of incubators to justify the 1st Iraq war?

And isn’t the U.S. the country that used depleted uranium weapons in Iraq that continue to kill long after the conflict ended?

Now we have an alleged intercepted telephone call that may or may not actually implicate the Syrian government in the gas attacks. After approximately 100,000 casualties from conventional warfare, the use of chemical weapons is suddenly an excuse for the U.S. begin a bombing campaign that will only lead to more casualties.

Let’s be honest about this. Any attack on Syria is not going to be about helping the Syrian people. It’s going to be about the U.S. helping the rich and powerful make money off the suffering of others.

I don’t know who used chemical weapons in Syria. It may have been the Syrian government, a rebel group or some other party with interests in the area. However the U.S. government’s rush to judgment suggests that they don’t really care.

Haven’t we learned anything from the similar aid given to Libya’s rebels, who proved worse than the government they overthrew? If the U.S. showed the same interest in making peace as it does in making war, the world would be a much better place.

With all the BS spewed out over years I forgot about the babies being flung out of incubators. THis is the same effing script.

The Saudi/Qatari papers where screaming headlines that Assad cut off the electricity to baby wards in hospitals and all the babies died. CNN did all they could to spread that propaganda but that was a No-Go.

the heartstrings effect - "What animals! They killed babies on purpose! Let's get 'em!"

Her false testimony was used in the Congress and quoted by various Senators and Congressmen to push for the Iraq war. (The first one, not the one under Bush Jr.)

Turns out, she was the daughter of the Kuwaiti ambassador to the United States (who represented a country who obviously wanted the USA to intervene). At the time of her testimony, they only revealed her first name, and said they could not reveal her full name for her own protection.

It makes you wonder if this chemical attack was possibly done by the rebels, and then the rebels blamed it on Assad, because it is very much in the rebels interests to get the USA to help them militarily.

How well I remember that young woman's testimony before Congress, her lips quivering and voice cracking as she told the sad tale.

Then she turned out to be the Kuwaiti ambassador's daughter, and her testimony part of a campaign organized by one of DC's top lobbying firms.

Bush senior and his people maniuplated people with stuff like that to make people see saddam as hitler II.And then after all that he leaves him In power In Iraq.He even let those who rose up against him In Iraq left to die.

The exceperence of first gulf war is reason I never trusted anything on Gulf war II and why I am skeptical on Syria.
