Rumsfeld calls Obama the 'So Called Commander in Chief'

Rumseld Calls Obama the "So-Called Commander in Chief"
Former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld referred to President Obama as "the so-called commander in chief" and also said Obama didn't need to seek Congressional authorization to strike Syria, The Hill reports.

Said Rumsfeld: "Now, did he need to go to Congress? No. Presidents as commander in chief have authority, but they have to behave like a commander in chief."

Still trying to manipulate us into believing that the two parties are offering us a choice, when they really aren't.

It's dangerous when the country starts to wake up and realize that both the Red and Blue Teams are playing the same corporate, for-profit warmongering game. It's dangerous when the people start to unite across party against what the warmongering oligarchy wants to do. It's dangerous when the scenery starts to fall down and people realize that the warmongering is bipartisan, and that the real game isn't Red versus Blue, but the corporate neocon/neoliberal One Percent against the rest of us.

What desperate propaganda to counteract the spectacle that has united the country in disgust: the stark, ugly truth of Obama and Pelosi and Cheney and Graham and Lieberman all standing together, pushing another war for profit. It's a pathetic, transparent, manipulative attempt to make us believe, once again, that the two teams are mortal enemies instead of in collusion, so that we will rally in outraged defense around the Blue Team's BOMBS, as the lesser of two evils.

It's okay to BOMB Syria as long as we do it Obama's way.

No, you transparent warmongers. The world is on to you. We don't rally around a new war in Syria from either party.

Republicans can't seem to make up their minds. They threaten holy hell if he doesn't ask for their approval (for pretty much everything, including playing golf and putting his feet on the desk in the oval office) but then they get all irate and disappointed when he DOES ask for their approval. Let's just all agree that President Obama is pretty much damned if he does, damned if he doesn't no matter what he does (or doesn't do).

...because doing that would have stripped away any pretense of "quick and cheap" for that neoconservative joyride you and your pals took our armed forces on?

Who lied to launch it in the first place?

Who didn't have a "plan B" if their string of unlikely assumptions about what would happen didn't pan out exactly the way their wishful thinking said it would?

Why do you think that a former so-called Secretary of Defense (rather than an actual one) you have anything worthwhile to say?
