War is the opium of the 1%.

That is why most Americans and the world do not support war. The resistance you are seeing to war is real, and grounded in reality of what more domestic cuts are to come. Austerity is a tool used by the 1% to take control of what the public owns and in turn sell it back to them at gouging prices. War is a perfect opportunity for the MIC to use the cloak of national security interest to undermine the power of the people.
