All over three sets of neighbors fighting over something stupid. Cops came, arrested one guy, released him. Got back home, more fighting with about 15 people, most not from this hood (some pulled up with ball bats).

All next door to my house. I know some of the people involved and they are the type who will keep going until they get 'revenge' over things (the one kid from around the corner was trying to hit my neighbor with a machete).

3 times the cops came out on Monday. Happily, the lady and her kids around the corner moved on Tuesday so things will quiet down, I hope. But this sort of thing bleeds over into the schools here and some of the fights here started there.

Days like today really glad my daughter is here home with me being home schooled.

Grew up here. But yesterday dad went out with his camera and ccw to film them and the one young punk starting yelling at my dad, calling him a snitch, etc. The kid's mom called me later (they live 3 doors down) to apologize. The kid is 16, been in and out of jail, his dad is back in prison until next month.

It is the kids coming in from out of the hood that worry me the most. One car of them yelled they were coming back to shoot my neighbors (that was last week). I don't own a gun, but keep a nice stick next to my desk. Sad thing is, I called the cops the other day the second time this all flared up and saw some kids bring aluminum bats out. Cops took about an hour to show back up as they were working an accident. The dispatcher could not believe they were all out here again fighting (you know it is bad when the dispatcher knows your street).

Neighborhood may have lost control of events, and sometimes that signals that things are too dangerous for the cops. I hope not.

You've humiliated yourself enough for one day. Take a hike---there are plenty of others on this forum who will turn this sad incident into a 2nd Amendment issue, and most of them can spell.....

And wants to know why they don't have 'gun detectors' and where is the money going because this school has had a lot of problems before.

And the same lady is saying one of the coaches was just taken out in hand cuffs - still a lot of breaking information.

so to speak. A lot of inner city schools have metal detectors, I understand. Sad but needed. Where I went the worst thing was smoking the the bathrooms.

suggesting that anger management and conflict resolution be mandatory classes. It is hard to disagree when so many fights seem to escalate to lethal levels.
