Watching C-Span this morning, no one supports Syrian strikes

So far this morning its been all call-ins and social media comments. Not one caller so far, in the first half hour, has supported the President's request to attack. Not a Democrat, not an Independent, not a Republican.

So let's see if the Congress actually represents the will of the people. So it it appears that no one in Washington gives a royal turd what any of us think.

1. Part of me believes the republicans are being disingenuous

If it was a nice light skinned president in their eyes preferably with an R after his name they'd be beating the drums for it

2. Yes, I truly believe that.

They are only against it because we have a black president.

3. Yep if it was a white democratic president they wouldn't like him but they'd support the war

But they are so against this president they will oppose him just because. Personally I'm not a big fan of the intervention plan mostly because I don't see it stopping anything.

4. That is not being reflected in the calls.

People are sticking to the point and the vast majority of the callers (I think in this first hour there have been two in support) are very much against this intrusion for exactly the same reasons cited here in the last couple of days.

5. It's an interesting thought the country united against war

I guess the last few years have left me a tad apprehensive trusting the motivations of anyone on the right
