One word is at the root cause of all of this (to me, anyway)... trust.

....or lack thereof...

Who do we trust? Who do we believe? Or do we trust or believe any politician? If we do, since trust is earned, upon what do we base that trust?

Whether it was Viet Nam, Watergate, the Iranian Hostages, Monicagate, rationale for the Iraq war - each instance of the use of blatant lies, through the years, erodes trust. And we find ourselves there again......

This is the conundrum I find myself in.

Full disclosure - I find way too many variables in this, and lack of a clear goal.... and as for what happens next - no matter what we do or don't do....the possibilities seem infinite..... So I have no idea what the best course of action is.
