But these strikes we are asking for are not aimed at regime change.

Regime change is already being sought by other covert means, and that is US policy.

But the cruise missile strikes requested, which I promise you will weaken Assad for sure, are not about regime change or seeking to change the outcome of the civil war.

Even though our policy is regime change, and we are arming and training foreign troops to fight in the war that we don't want our cruise missile strikes to determine....




I had been confident in Congress passing something before watching this mess. He cannot even describe a coherent policy as a starting point to debate, let alone answer questions about it.
