Just because W lied about WMD doesn't mean this isn't true. It is the "Boy who cried wolf" scenario. Yes, last time there was no wolf. This time it appears that there is.

5. no I'm not calling President Obama a liar

My opinion is: I Don't Know What The Truth Is.

But in my heart I don't believe President Obama would pull a Bush ... that is MAKE SHIT UP TO GO TO WAR. President Obama is a THOUGHTFUL man.

I just think there is a lot of confusion right now. I'm glad the president has decided to go to Congress.

But I don't know what the answer is.

I'm listening to both sides being presented here by our fellow members. And I am not afraid to say, I just don't know what the answer is.

(But how things could get out of control because of mistaken information or genuine, unintentionally flawed/distorted perceptions of reality reminded me of the scene from "Duck Soup" I posted.)

So there's no reason to believe he wouldn't lie about another policy. Thats the problem with lying and secrecy....lost trust isn't regained.
