Sent emails to Senators & US Rep yesterday

asking them to vote against military action in Syria, but to do more important things like more debates, more requests for participation from NATO, the Europian Union, the UN and even the Pope if it helps. I wonder if Moslems have the equivalent of a pope..him too if so.

It's not enough to help refugees by feeding and medicating then burying them, something has to be done against dictators who kill their people and the US may point out what needs to be done, but cannot do it alone. It's too big and awesome a responsibility for one country.

It might be nice if everyone sent their Rep and Senator an email with whatever you think is right, not what I think, because everyone should weigh in in one way or another 'cause that's what Obama, Biden, Kerry, and Hagel expect from us....

I kept it to one page under the assumption that they might not read that much, but certainly wouldn't read more.

I didn't email, I faxed the letters to all three.

Now we send something to tell them thank you for reading and congratulate him for his courage, and Biden, Kerry & Hagel....

Some of his speech was almost word for word what was in my email. Eerie feeling. I signed it with my name, adding "an old lady."

Knowing his mom was a white lady, I knew I had an inroad there .

That's at least 2 old white ladies who loved/loves him...

I wrote a page listing all the reasons we shouldn't launch missiles.

From technical issues like you can't bomb chemical weapons and hope to do anything but release them to murder more people, to futility about how we're not going for Regime Change. I mentioned how the groups we would be supporting are aligned with groups that hate us and would kill us just to watch us die.

The sad part is I could have easily filled four pages with well reasoned arguments with references to why it is true. While those like yourself who demand action do so based upon the emotional we can't let him get away with it. I sincerely hope the logical wins, no disrespect intended.
