.. who kept this issue up front and out of the weeds.

Did you catch the story linked in this diary?

http://www.dnainfo.com/new-york/20130716/jamaica-hollis/bloomberg-scouted-gop-candidates-oust-weprin-after-stop-and-frisk-vote

NEW YORK CITY — Mayor Michael Bloomberg targeted Queens City Councilman Mark Weprin in retaliation for his support of two bills aimed at reining in the NYPD, sources told DNAinfo New York.
...
Bloomberg aide Howard Wolfson was “actively making the phone calls and making the last-ditch effort to find a viable candidate to run” against Weprin, said one Queens Republican insider.
...
Since the passage of the CSA, Weprin and a number of his colleagues have suffered political repercussions over their votes. The Patrolman’s Benevolent Association sent out a mailing and leafleted the districts of Weprin and his Manhattan colleagues, Councilmembers Jessica Lappin and Daniel Garodnick. The Detectives Endowment Association revoked its endorsement of Brooklyn Councilmember Sara Gonzalez and others over their support of the bills.

If given the opportunity to be President, there's no doubt that he would be another war criminal.

Watch him try to keep up the now illegal racial profiling under the guise of stop and frisk. I wouldn't put it past this ogre.

"El Bloombito" is a racial stereotype created on Twitter, ostensibly for purposes of comedy.

in Poland. They were Jewish. In America, white privilege abounds, so Jewish, not such a big deal. A policy is discriminatory, Mr. Mayor, when a specific group of people are singled out for inspection and worse. We have a Constitution, but white privilege is still the rule.
Good for the NYC Council.

She supported the inspector general option but opposed the bill? As much as I'd love to see NYC elect an openly gay mayor, I don't want it to be her...she is just too buddy-buddy with Bloomberg.
