And so we go round and round the mulberry bush and what can be said in the end?

Perhaps that it is not your place, nor mine, to question the motives of posters for their posts.

Why ask the sun why it shines or the rooster why it crows, my dear l'homme minérale?

It is for us to accept the post as it is, to ignore it or to respond to its content.

But to enquire as to the motives of the poster is to break the 3rd wall as it were, to peak behind the curtain, so to speak.

And alas, such is not for you nor I.

can't post more than once, especially if the posts are at different times or in different forums.

Looking at the number of DU Recs this post has, it is apparently a popular one. Why does it bother you? Do you not like Obama? It that's the case, there's nothing preventing you from posting that and see how the number of K&Rs compare. Might be interesting, you know.

What is it to you if this OP posts a "K&R if you like Obama post?" Does it do you harm? Are you required to read it, and post in the thread? I guess I just don't understand why you bother to read the thread or post in it, if you don't find it important.

The OP has posted some of these before. And each time many people have recommended the thread and kicked it. To me, that means that they appreciate the post and want to register their agreement with it. How does that affect you, or the others who appear to be somehow offended by the very presence of the post and the poster? Are DUers who don't necessarily agree with you somehow less important than you are? I don't think so. Look at the list of people who recommended this thread. Who are they, other than DUers?

Does the opportunity to snark about a supportive post about Obama force you to leave the snarky post? I don't think it does. Why not just skip the post, hide the post, or ignore the poster?

Can you explain?

Does it bother you so much that someone posts something that sticks out and doesn't comport with your idea of what should be there?

Why are you so judgmental? It reminds me of the attitude of Puritans who suffer from the sneaking suspicion that someone, somewhere is having fun. Only in your case, it is the sneaking suspicion that someone, somewhere isn't following your code of conduct.

Why don't you just ignore it, or keep YOUR opinions to yourself?

It's a two-way street when you decide to stand in judgment and post your little comments. So I will throw your own advice back at you.

"Why not just skip the post, hide the post, or ignore the poster? "

I would have liked to see a primary challenge from the progressive side if only to keep Obama on his toes. He has really ignored a lot of the concerns of some of us who were his hardest working supporters in 2008.
