The Romney campaign proudly blasted out the text of an endorsement by the Arizona Republic to reporters on Friday. But left out of their e-mail: a paragraph criticizing Mitt Romney's hardline take on immigration, especially his opposition to the DREAM Act.
This omission comes the same week that the Romney campaign angered editors at the Detroit News by sending out their own endorsement with a critical passage on Romney's opposition to the auto bailout removed. The Romney campaign says they didn't want to send the complete text out of copyright concerns, but legal experts are highly skeptical of their reasoning.

The following excerpt did not appear in the campaign's email:
We have our issues with Romney, to be sure. His opposition to the Dream Act for illegal-immigrant children raised in the U.S. is not one we support. And his effort to position himself as the "toughest" GOP candidate on immigration issues is a concern. Still, we believe Romney is the most prudent, responsible and electable of the four GOP candidates still actively competing.
