General Discussion

OmahaBlueKid had Brownies tonight. I'll admit, I had my worries.
Tonight's agenda was the discussion of endangered species. Each girl had to research on the internet a particular species, where it lived, what it eats, what eats it, and why it's endangered. I certainly saw this as an easy transition into a whole indoctrination session on Planned Parenthood. Who wouldn't? But, to my surprise and relief, the discussion remained centered on whales, dolphins, pandas, and similar species. There wasn't even an attempt to brainwash these girls into the myth of climate change.
The cookies were also discussed. This is presented to parents as a chance for girls to learn sales skills. What it is, really, is R-E-D. Get this: the girls sell the cookies to unsuspecting friends of their parents -- generally in a way that negatively impacts their parent's work time. Then, the profits from these sales don't even go to the girls! The profits go to the troop! The money is spent for the common benefit of the members, which is clearly a coded term for communism!
Today your girl is wearing a brown sash with merit badges selling cookies. Mark my words, she'll soon be dressed in cammo, quoting the collected works of Haydee Santamaria, and distributing Loestrin24FE to women on food stamps. It's just how these things work.

(185 posts)Saying that we should do anything else to Pandas other than make fur coats out of them to create jobs and profits is nothing but eastern establishment indoctrination of out children to make them lose faith in Jesus Christ and the holy, invisible hand of the free market.
To suggest there's plants and animals that are of a limited, dwindling number and that they may die off forever, causing irreversible damage and imbalance to that eco-system thingy is just ludicrous! You liberals and your logic!

(15,391 posts)First heard this on Dr. Demento, it's a parody of, "Battle of 1812," by Johnny Horton. I never realized in high school that it was recorded way back in 1959, and in fact, performed live by Homer and Jethro, it seems pretty risque for the time.
Anyway, this is when scouting first started contributing to the moral downfall of America.
