(I am posting this because the male victim is the son of a friend of mine. Needless to say, we are all in shock. The female victim was indeed pregnant. Comments at the end of the coverage on the local "news" channels is absolutely disgusting, a lot of ugly comments about sen. john morse and the gun legislation. This is not a good day)
Colorado Springs man wanted in shooting deaths of man, woman

A man and a woman were found fatally shot in an alley between a pizza parlor and a tire business late Saturday, and police issued a warrant on Sunday for their alleged killer.
The victims were shot in an alley at 2875 E. Platte Ave., where their blood still pooled Sunday.
Gary Glen Vigil, 22, was named as the suspect by Colorado Springs police, who issued an arrest warrant for him on suspicion of first-degree murder, saying he was armed and dangerous.
Employees from several businesses in the Tower Plaza strip mall had pieces of the story, describing how police responded to the shootings within minutes and cordoned off the shopping area until Sunday morning.
An employee from Taqueria Las Americas, directly opposite the site of the shootings, said at least one strip mall worker had witnessed the incident and that the woman reportedly was seven months pregnant and was related to the shooter.
A server at Nancy's Lions Den, identifying herself only as Sue, told The Gazette she had seen Vigil at the bar prior to the night of the shootings.

(113,581 posts)hatred, of ignorance, of violence, of the continued rape of the earth, cannot be sustained for much longer. but, if one reads, watches, is aware, it seems like every day brings some new horror.
and yet, there is so much good, and beauty, and love-- I would like to believe that those forces can win out. today, however, is not one of those days.
