and asked why they skewed the description of the procedure in their poll. They sent me to a voicemail system. I guess they didn't like it when I asked if they were too embarrassed to say trans-vaginal. Or they may not have liked it when I asked if they supported this state-sanctioned rape since they so cleverly changed the name of the procedure and made it sound so generic.

This local ABC television station caters completely to the fundies because Lynchburg is where Liberty University (Falwell) resides.

As for what happened in Virginia- Virginia was always like this. Before 2008 the last non-Republican to win VA was Lyndon Johnson. No state has been more reliably, robotically Republican in presidential elections. Eric Cantor is from Virginia, and outside of NoVA and Tidewater (The blue parts of the state) it's full of bumpkins and rednecks. Virginia is a "right to work" state and is in the bottom 5 in education. Virginia still has morality/sodomy laws on the books from colonial times. If you were told a year ago that a state would be passing bullshit legislation like this, why wouldn't you expect it to be Virginia? The real question is 'How the hell did Obama win Virginia?'

Cantor is a douche nozzle and while Santorum CLAIMED to be a PA senator, he lived in Leesburg the entire time (with a shack in Penn Hills that he used to scam $100,000 out of for "cyberschool&quot . Obama is a real president, and we haven't had one since Carter (okay, maybe Clinton too). Obama commands respect and rightfully so. Sure, Reston and Fairfax County will go (D), but even the redneck parts of the state know Obama is superior. They'll either stay home or vote and not tell anyone who they voted for - same as last time.

The heavily populated Northern part that works in DC. Hopefully it holds in November, but I won't bank on it.
