Indiana House Speaker's answer to Girl Scout radicalism: Let them eat cookies

http://www.indystar.com/article/20120221/NEWS05/202210366/Girl-Scouts-radical-front-Lawmakers-pass-cookies?odyssey=tab

<<<After controversial remarks by one Republican lawmaker attacking Girl Scouts as a radical group that supports abortion, House Speaker Brian Bosma made his feelings clear Tuesday, one Thin Mint cookie at a time.

Bosma, R-Indianapolis, pointedly offered Girl Scout cookies throughout the day and munched them as he presided over the House.

And when time came for the House to adjourn, he asked all lawmakers who had been Girl Scouts -- and seemingly every female legislator stood -- to give the daily motion to adjourn.

As he left the House, Bosma was dismissive of the controversy: "I've been to the carnival before, and you don't walk in to every sideshow tent."<<

I am no fan of Brian Bosma's, but I'm glad to see someone on the GOP see and call this craziness for what it is. Too bad, though, that Indiana -- once again -- has become a national laughingstock.

(By the way, Morris has been ducking requests for interviews. Wonder why?)

of pandering to the far religious right. Clearly even he can see there is a line that can be crossed - and responded with a little passive aggressive (and funny) mockery.

I propose that Representative Bob Morris forever be remembered as "Sideshow Bob".
