Samsung's 'Waterproof' Galaxy S4 Smartphone, Zero Percent Waterproof.

If this was Great Britain, they could be held liable for false advertising.

This is where everything went wrong. About 2 minutes later the phone started tweaking out, Google now opened on its own and the buttons were really sensitive. Then the buttons completely stopped working other than the power button and that's when I freaked out. I opened the battery cover and there it was, everything was soaked. but luckily none of the water damage indicators were colored. I then opened the USB door and it was like a fountain, so that's where the breach happened. The flimsy, rubber USB door. I did not tell a soul what happened and went back to work and swapped it for a regular Galaxy S4.

So please listen to my warning. There are way too many people getting this phone damaged, including me, a fully trained AT&T employee who took the proper precautions before doing anything.

Samsung should not be able to get away with calling this phone water resistant or water proof, and they should especially not include an Aqua Camera mode.

Also the warranty DOES NOT, I REPEAT, DOES NOT COVER WATER!!!! I want Samsung to see this, we seriously can't have them get away with the advertising on this phone, there are way too many cases of this phone getting damaged with correct usage!

Not really sure if its an S4.

It is absolutely not waterproof. Merely getting the touchscreen wet makes it freak out and get confused. I can't imagine how the speaker or microphone would do if wet. I have to be very careful not to even sweat on this phone.

I do not make calls or talk on it in the rain, that comes from my mother screaming to me as a kid "Get in here dont you have good sense to get out of the rain?"

I also do not for see in the future needing to make a 911 call after being kicked off the Nautilus by Captain Nemo so I think I am okay with my warranty not covering water damage.

BUT I did have to by a cover to keep sweat off the darn thing!

I have one of these. Basically I like it and don't plan to go scuba diving with it or think that taking underwater pics in a fish tank will be really cool. I got it because if I accidentally get it wet it won't get fried. It's also supposed to be more robust if you knock it around.

I can see how people could have problems with it if owners don't get the back or the data port properly sealed before it goes into water. I put the back on once and thought it was sealed and discovered later that it wasn't snapped closed all the way around. You're also supposed to push the back just below the camera lens to make sure that area is sealed.

The rubber cover over the data/charging port looks like it could wear out pretty quickly. It has to be opened every time it's charged and then resealed when done.

I also like the metallic blue color
