Joseph Smith. It's totally f*cked up.. but it's kind of fascinating to watch the progression of this unique 20th-century religion.
That painting is just so laughably horrid. If I didn't know better, I'd lay dollars to donuts that it is the work of Thomas Kinkade. Not because of the subject, of course, but the unnaturally bright colors, the layering of schmaltz upon schmaltz, and the utter lack of any artistic merit.
