NSA leaker Edward Snowden is the focus of some controversial new signs posted at the Pentagon Metro station.
The signs say Snowden honored his oath to the Constitution by revealing government secrets.
The group that paid for the signs has a target audience and is recruiting. So far, they've put signs up near military bases in California, Texas, and Georgia.
The billboards stand out on the platform at the Pentagon Metro stop, all part of a new campaign sponsored by a group called The Oath Keepers.
But some metro riders disagree, telling ABC7 that Snowden was wrong.

worship at the alter of authoritarianism. This is disgusting for a DEmocrat, but our tent has been leaking conservatives.
The easy road is to blindly follow the strong authoritarians Gen Alexander, Herr Mueller, Gen Clapper, and Comey. The hard road is to fight for freedom and liberty.
Which side do you choose.

(10,530 posts)7. More about the group that mounted this campaign here:
http://oathkeepers.org/oath/about/ :
The group is primarily designed for current military, vets, police, et al. but is open to the rest of us as well. More at the link.
Oath Keepers is a non-partisan association of current and formerly serving military, police, and first responders who pledge to fulfill the oath all military and police take to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. That oath, mandated by Article VI of the Constitution itself, is to the Constitution, not to the politicians, and Oath Keepers declare that they will not obey unconstitutional orders, such as orders to disarm the American people, to conduct warrantless searches, or to detain Americans as enemy combatants in violation of their ancient right to jury trial. See the Oath Keepers Declaration of Orders We Will Not Obey for details.
The first official act we took after forming Oath Keepers was to issue our Declaration of Orders We (active duty Oath Keepers) Will Not Obey. You can read the full declaration here. Below is a summary of the ten orders listed in the Declaration, that Oath Keepers pledge to not obey, as part of keeping their official oaths:
* * * * *
2. We will NOT obey orders to conduct warrantless searches of the American people
3. We will NOT obey orders to detain American citizens as unlawful enemy combatants or to subject them to military tribunal.

10.We will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the people to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances.
