"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it."

When you tell a story that's not true once, you could be mistaken.

When you tell a story that's not true twice, you may be forgetful.

When you tell a story that's not true three times, you must be trying to misinform others.

And when you tell a story that's not true four times, you are spreading propaganda.

At least four times in the last 24 hours, seen the same out of context smear against Glenn Greenwald by people online who have been corrected and yet still spread the same misleading information.

While I question the motives behind the continual need to bash Greenwald, I'm more concerned with the need to provide information that the poster knows for a fact is not accurate in the manner presented. Regardless of the hatred for Greenwald, and Snowden, and Ellison, and all the others who have come out against the NSA domestic spying program, there is no excuse for trying to mislead fellow Democrats. There is no acceptable justification for pushing 'The Big Lie' on the community.

Nearly every liberal has at some time railed against the shameful methods used by Beck, Hannity, O'Reilly, Cavuto and others on Fox News yet now some are emulating them by spreading misleading quotes while purposefully omitting their context. This practice is vile when used against President Obama and it is vile when used against progressive journalists.

So I have to ask: At what point did pushing an agenda become more important than discussing the issues?

making gigantic profits off the Military, Industrial Surveillance Society, to keep us focused on how Snowden, Binney, Manning, Thomas Drake, and Greenwald are all very very bad boys.

“The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly - it must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over.”

They seem to be gleefully disrupting the conversation for no good reason. Maybe they are just acting out of spite for being proven wrong over and over and over and over again.

For days they railed against our neighbors to the south because Evo Morales' jet was forced down in Europe. They made up all sorts of lies out of thin air in order to mock those of us who are rightly concerned about this unprecedented breach of fundamental international law. Then, once they've finally been shouted down and no one will pay them any more attention on this incident, this.

IT IS true that Glenn Beck visits my house every September 11th dressed in SS Nazi regalia, and we take turns smearing vicks vaporub in eachothers tear ducts.

and are just here to keep posting their little fakey talking points, like good little soldiers or lackeys. These people are not worth paying any attention to, quite frankly.
