while slowly weakening, it is likely to bring strong, gusty winds and lots of rain to the Big island and Maui, and possibly Oahu if it maintains a current track. A slight track shift to the south or north would make a big difference in rain and wind amounts.

the islands need the rain, as long as it is not torrential or damaging it will be welcome
