I think, as the poster below does, that they can't be bothered to hire a sub host. But who knows? Either explanation shows a lack of respect for their viewers. No wonder I almost never watch anymore.

This is my guess only because it is what I'd want out of that company, who has replaced vacationing hosts with their 'guest' unceremoniously in the past. They fire like Zimmerman after happy hour. I am sure their on air talent feels little security, remember Maddow was first there to sub for Keith, who was fired....

...that's how Chris Hayes got his start...filling in for Rachel that led to them giving him the Saturday show. Lately Ezra Klein fills in for her. She's she is "sacked" it is because of poor ratings and then MSNBC would be forced to pay her for the duration of her contract. If the network had some sinister agenda it would have never ventured to put a lesbian progressive as host in prime time and given a lot of exposure covering elections and special events. Rachel is one of the hardest working journalists in the corporate media world and a breath of fresh air...I hope she's enjoying a very well deserved and relaxing long weekend...

Pretty much dropped them as a source to watch between the crap they run on weekends and this tonight and the republican ads to kill the IRS it is not worth the time to try to get anything decent out of it... Have to change channels when the crap ads come on and then remember to go back to the show.. pretty much a waste of time anymore..IMHO

It makes it hard to watch. Who knew that Walmart is a great employer and supports local farmers?

start an hour earlier when I was still home. They are really getting to be a second rare network. The lockup thing is ridiculous even when they don't start it an hour early with no explanation. Say what you will about CNN, but I can't see them doing anything this amateur.

I don't think glamorizing that we imprison more of our citizens per capita than any country on Earth is a good thing.

so I could watch Rachel; she is always extra-good on Fridays. I went to bathroom to **%^&$*#(@ and hopped out at 8:59 only to hear Chris saying "I never thought I would say this but..stay tuned for prison." I thought he was joking. Crap - this really pissed me off.
