Need recommendations for onine mail. Google mail is now carrying ADS!!!

Last edited Wed Jul 24, 2013, 01:44 PM - Edit history (1)

yuck...can't stand the idea of being forced to see ads in my mail box...

Anyone know of good online free email service?
Want something for internet based browsing/sign ups, etc, and don't want to use my "personal" mailbox.

UPDATE:
Just found out:

At Ixquick, more than 45,000 people have asked to be beta testers for a new email service featuring accounts that not even the company can get into without user codes, spokeswoman Katherine Albrecht said. The company will levy a small charge for the accounts, betting that people are willing to pay for privacy.

but they have ads, however you can get add ons that block those ads in the mail program. I never see them.

One sentence bold print ad at top of mail results. Right in your face as you skim your inmail lists.

These have no ads, but they act as a collector of all your email and you can even have it track multiple email accounts. I really like Thunderbird email client program, but there are other free ones too. This way, you could keep your gmail account and never see the ads by in effect, filtering it through the email client.

Another good one is Zimbra, I actually have that one too. I like how you can have multiple email accounts and track them all in these programs. (I tend to use a lot of different email accounts)

I hardly ever visit Gmail online unless I'm using someone else's computer.
