(6,119 posts)I didn't see the very start but when Kweisi Mfume was annoucned.
I wish this was on Network TV.. so all could see it.
Today on a local progressive radio station, 950am radio in Minneapolis, the one of two white hosts brought up an article a black conservative wrote of why aren't there marches of black on black crime and the ills of hip hop... blah, blah, blah... the hosts wanted to know what we thought of the article but they failed to mention the commentary was written a right wing conservative.. only that he was black. the white host said hip hop was black culture and so did it contribute to the death of black men.. more than Zimmerans of our country. I wanted to scream... I tried to get through to the call in line but was unable. I had to hear the ignorant remarks by the hosts (remember they are progressive whites), and the crackers who called in to defend Zimmerman and talk about black music called their own women 'hos"... grrrrr.. I wanted to tell them What about Jazz.. What about Blues.. What about Gospel...
And why in the hell is the progressive radio show reading a column written by a conservative right wing think tank person who is black. I would rather they read what was said during this status of black males.
I'm going to send them the a link of the cspan. i'm listening to the panel as I type and tears are falling.
