"We are going to use federal money, because if we can do it in Baghdad, and Kandahar, we can do it in Detroit!....It's time to do some nation building here!!!"

He is on FIRE tonight fighting for unions and the middle class in Detroit!!! Chris Hays isn't bad, but I miss Ed every weeknight!!

No matter what time he is on.
The man might make more than we as a lot do but he doesn't show it in his choice of topics. Ed Schultz is a good man, simple as that.

I miss him every day to keep me 'fired up'
but on Sunday? Michael Eric Dyson referred to Ed's opening monolog
as his 'sermon'- quite so!

How come his voice isn't at the head of the class?
He cares about the workers.. and the country.

4. We have the money to blow in Iraq, Afghanistan and Wall Street but not to help our own cities.

This country has is priorities all messed up. Jobs are leaving by the hundreds or thousands due to outsourcing that they are getting a tax break to do. Why the fuck are we giving tax breaks to companies to ship jobs overseas? Detroit is the canary in the coal mine and other cities could be next and I fear that Chicago might be next. We need to invest in our cities and our people. We need to stop closing schools and make higher education affordable for everybody. People can not survive on the minimum wage jobs that people are being forced to work because all of the good paying jobs are now gone.
The federal government needs to step in but I know that is not going to happen because they are too busy trying to overturn Obama care for the 40th time. I swear the Republicans won't be happy until America looks like a third world country, where the rich have their private armies to protect themselves from the millions of people that they screwed over. Where is the patriotism? Where is the love and compassion for our fellow Americans? Oh, forgot they don't live in real America. People like the Republicons piss me off to no ends.

The Repugs always expect us to freeze in shock over such announcements, while they're busy in the back room planning their private-equity takeovers. Not this time!

20. Okay, how much money, and what will it buy and accomplish...

Should it be the job of taxpayers in Nevada to fund the city pensions of workers in Detroit? Should the children of Walmart workers in Oregon be handed the bill to fix the roads in Michigan? Because that's what we are talking about. Saying that it's okay because we wasted a fortune in Iraq is the kind of argument offered by children.

So we need to be specific. How much money, what will it be used for exactly, who will administrate it, and how far will it go?
