The even more ridiculous part for me is that they will do it with a smile on their face and no one seems to notice

(45,788 posts)Some "beliefs" are more likely to be true than other "beliefs" based on observation and evidence. Some people absolutely refuse to consider evidence and logic in relationship to their beliefs and other people do. If you don't want to call it hypocrisy, then call it fallacy.
