When President Obama was elected the first time I cried.

Because I thought America was truly redeeming herself for her racist past. Although it was truly a wonderful step in the right direction his election simply overturned the rock to find all the ugly crawling things beneath. It's really ugly and we have much work to do.

The murder of Trayvon Martin has emboldened them even further and I am sickened by it.
They say that sunshine is the best disinfectant.
I hope so.

elected both times, redwitch. But, I knew the real work would begin and it would unleash a fury of ugliness unseen before.

And, here we are.. However, I have hopes for Justice4Trayvon in ways we may not see now. But, his legacy will live on through his parents "grace and dignity" and all those who will not let his memory be forgotten.. nor, how his killer went free.
