Over the past week some controversial posters have been popping up on Saskatoon streets.
The posters, which are connected with a group called 'A Voice for Men,' carry slogans such as "Feminism Equals Male Disposability" and "Men's Rights are Human Rights."
They go on to compare men's rights to that of minority groups such as "African Americans, Jews and gay and lesbian people."
One message on a poster states Canada is the most dangerous place to be, if you're male.

A Voice For Men did not respond to CBC's request for an interview Friday.
On its website, the group's mission statement says it's "sole ideology is compassion for men and boys that is equal to that of women and any other identified group."

People in Saskatoon are reacting to several anti-feminism posters that have been showing up in the city. (CBC )
I've seen the things this stupid "Voice for Men" blog does on David Futrelle's Man Boobz blog. Such as blaming Trayvon Martin's girlfriend for the death of Martin. And blatant bullsh*t when they've got no legit arguments. Also according to Bigotry Wiki, "This organization is responsible for the webshite Register-Her.com, a webshite dedicated to listing rape victims as liars and accusing them of making false accusations. The owners of the domain hide behind privacy registration, and are too fucking incompetent to make short URLs for their MediaWiki CMS." And RationalWiki reports that AVFM founder Paul Elam records videos on YouTube as "The Happy Misogynist" (TheHappyMisogynist).
PZ Myers has also tracked the bigotry and bass-ackwardness of sites like AVFM. These fuckers are nostalgic for an era when groping women co workers and slapping a wife was OK.

Kim Renders, a member of Queen's drama department and a blogger for HuffPost Canada, posted the letter to Facebook Friday, where it quickly began racking up shares.
Addressed to "Lesbian bitches," the letter demands that the recipients leave the city as soon as possible or face all manner of harassment (read the full letter here).
Pictures of letters at link.

(529 posts)WTF is going on in Canada? This, and the anti-feminist posters, are usually the kind of things I hear about happening here in Texas. But I guess that sexism and stupidity can happen anywhere.
