6. My partner and I had been together for over 30 years before we got married

We married the day before Prop 8 was voted in, because we could. It's been great. It changed my "mind set" in that he no longer was a partner I might disagree with, but became, really, my other half. Him being a Scorpio, and Me a Sag. it's been interesting. I called it a "Long Engagement".

13. We were sitting around the table last night when they told us and Vivian's brother who also is gay

said jokingly, "what took you so long?" Vivian said "we had to wait for the law." Then it occurred to me, no law can prevent love.
