Did I hear right???

A juror interviewed by Martin Bashir said that she based her decision on the stand your ground law? That is not the law that he was tried under.
That is essentially a belief based in gun culture philosophy. Thanks to the gun nuts we are moving toward open season on anyone - minorities first.
I fear for my and other states that are adopting these laws that are turning out to be extremely dangerous.

1. It was always a self-defense case that included Stand Your Ground. The gun cultists lied about it

not being a SYG case. They love these laws, more opportunity to pull their gun on people when other alternatives are available.

If they brought it up it was contrary to their instructions and purely cultural\philosophical.

The woman on AC360 last night said this would be her "first and last interview" and that she wanted to get her (convoluted, error ridden) story out and then go back to her life.

She going for the full 15 by making the rounds, or was this a different one?

Sounds like he was referencing the CNN interview last night. If you can stomach the sheer incompetence, here is the full video.

Jaw dropping doesn't begin to describe this woman's "insight".

It's truly sickening. I have heard it compared with Emmit Till, but in some ways I think it's worse. At least Emmit Till was accused by a living person before the hideous events.
Trayvon was gunned down with invalid allegation of being in the wrong place coming after his murder. What a severe devolution of our justice system.

Written instructions that sat with the jurors as they deliberated made very clear that under Florida law, a shooter has a right to stand his ground:

"If George Zimmerman was not engaged in an unlawful activity and was attacked in anyplace where he had a right to be, he had no duty to retreat and had the right to stand his ground and meet force with force, including deadly force if he reasonably believed that it was necessary to do so to prevent death or great bodily harm to himself or another or to prevent the commission of a forcible felony."

I hate to see what the future brings with this sick mentality where a bad law has been adopted as a cultural norm. We are a seriously screwed up country.
