Zimmerman juror WITHDRAWS from writing book now..

I guess someone found out about her attornery husband being friends with O'Mara on the Defense team

http://www.buzzfeed.com/jtes/zimmerman-juror-decides-not-to-write-a-book

Late Monday night, Sharlene Martin of Martin Literary Management LLC told BuzzFeed that Juror B37 will no longer pursue a book deal.

The juror’s statement, via Martin:

“I realize it was necessary for our jury to be sequestered in order to protest our verdict from unfair outside influence, but that isolation shielded me from the depth of pain that exists among the general public over every aspect of this case. The potential book was always intended to be a respectful observation of the trial from my and my husband’s perspectives solely and it was to be an observation that our ‘system’ of justice can get so complicated that it creates a conflict with our ‘spirit’ of justice.

Now that I am returned to my family and to society in general, I have realized that the best direction for me to go is away from writing any sort of book and return instead to my life as it was before I was called to sit on this jury.”

The juror’s announcement came after Martin — who has also represented Amanda Knox’s ex Raffaele Sollecito — decided to drop her.

“After careful consideration regarding the proposed book project with Zimmerman Juror B37, I have decided to rescind my offer of representation in the exploration of a book based upon this case,” Martin said at the time.

Earlier Monday, when the partnership was first announced, Martin said she hoped Juror B37’s book would help the public “understand the commitment it takes to serve and be sequestered on a jury in a highly publicized murder trial …. It could open a whole new dialogue about laws that may need to be revised and revamped to suit a 21st century way of life.”

But on Monday evening, Juror B37 went on CNN to defend the jury’s decision to find George Zimmerman not guilty.

“I think both were responsible for the situation they had gotten themselves into,” she said. “I think they both could have walked away.”

Not long after the interview aired, calls for Martin to drop the juror intensified. A Change.org petition by Genie Lauren circulated, asking Martin supporters to not “allow this person to profit off of the injustice that they’ve served to the American public.” By 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, it had more than 800 signatures.

The Judge instructed the jurors to disregard the comment Serino said about believing that Zimmerman was telling the truth.

But listen to what the juror says at 3:25 minute mark in the video below - she apparently did NOT do what the Judge said to do !

her husband is an attorney, something wrong here. in a town of 53K, everyone in 'the legal community" would probably know each other in some way, they shouldn't be on the jury in this kind of controversial case.

this woman supposedly said her book would be from 'her & her husband's perspective" which seems to support the rumor that hubby is a lawyer, else why would we care about her husband's perspective?

the juror should have brought up this fact before or during voir dire and if the prosecutors knew the fact and let her on anyhow, that suggests they were trying to "throw" the case.

Several people could (and should) go to jail here, even if Zimmerman stays free.

The decision was made for you lady.

Making money off of this for anybody but travons family is going to be toxic.

I am thankful she gave what appeared to be an honest interview before the professional image people shaped her story.

She was totally blind to the fact her life was far different than travons or even George's last 5 years or so. Her interview will add great value to those who analyze this case.

Best belive if any other juror gives an interview it will be sanitized and made PC and not be the truth.

The truth is sometimes ugly and uncomfortable. Given her background I am not surprised she reached that conclusion.

Lesson learned. CNN and others used you. You thought you'd make a few bucks off of this tragedy.

But you forgot the likes of CNN, NBC, and others are the pros at raping society for "the story".

As you get out to the real world, enjoy the injustice you wrought.

I think the twitterverse dissected her interview too quickly and now the jurors are probably going to go silent to prevent the massive corruption of Sanford from being exposed. We need to let O'Mara, Taffe, RZ Jr, and the jurors talk freely for the next week. Provide enough rope for the justice department to step in.

what happened inside the jury deliberations? I think an account like that would be important for historical reasons.

Hopefully one of the jurors is brave enough to eventually publish an account.

Her husband is friends with O'Mara and neither she nor O'Mara disclosed it? So who is going to file the complaint against O'Mara with the Florida bar? If true, this sounds like something that could cost him his license.

In California the very first thing they ask is trials is if you have any connection with anyone involved.
If you have any familiarity you are excused.
No juror is to have any personal connections with a case.

I guess nepotism in jurors is just fine in Florida.
Damn that's a corrupt state.

That's the local bar association. Some attorneys may not belong to that (at least that is the case in California). You don't have to join in California. It's the State Bar Association membership that is necessary in California.

I don't know what that would have to do with this case or the juror.
