Ft. Worth crews accidentally demolish wrong house

The city of Fort Worth is investigating how demolition crews knocked down the wrong house.

Only a clean slab was left where David Underwood's home once stood near Lake Worth.

The property had been in his family for decades, but was accidentally demolished by Ft. Worth city crews on Friday.

"We came around Silver Creek looking for the lot and my wife said, David… I think the house is gone.," said Underwood. "We looked up there and sure enough, it's gone!"

The city confirmed the blunder on Monday afternoon and released a statement to FOX4.
