and found this after researching about it:

"Dunn, indicted on a first-degree murder charge last Thursday, is no "vigilante" but did feel threatened and shot out of "self-defense," his lawyer said two days after his arrest.

"There are no comparisons to the Trayvon Martin situation," said Robin Lemonidis, Dunn's attorney. "He is devastated and horrified by the death of the teen."

Dunn told authorities that he had asked the teens to turn down the blaring music coming from their vehicle, which was parked next to his as he waited for his girlfriend to return to the car.

He heard threats from the teens, Dunn told police, and he felt threatened and thought he saw a gun in their car. He grabbed his gun and fired at least eight shots, authorities said."

I hope this case will garner some attention given this occurred in Florida and the defendant is claiming self-defense in the same way Zimmerman did.

where the cops arrested him the next morning. There were no weapons in the vehicle Jordan was in and no one saw the purported shotgun that Dunn claimed he saw. This happened a few miles from me.

which is interesting, imo, given the similarities to the Trayvon Martin case in the area of SYG/self-defense claims.

I once would have thought this seems to be a rather clear cut case for murder but, after the verdict in the Zimmerman case, this may well end up in another verdict of not guilty due to the color of the victim's skin.

8. there is less defense of this guy, just because he didn't tell his wife/girlfriend they had a gun

or some other statement.

but it go tme thinking, so what if he lied and his girlfriend/wife went along with the lie to defend him. so then we just take their word for it ?

so that's a problem for me in this case also.
