There is an imagery in this country that black people are violent and militant and the right constantly hopes they'll prove that perception right by rioting or massive violence.

These past two presidential elections, they floated the idea blacks would riot if Obama lost too.

It's just a hope to discredit an entire people - forgetting white people riot all the time (especially sports fans).
